Course Description
To form legitimate judgments about our country today, you have to have an understanding of our past. In my class you will evaluate the patterns of interaction between people and events from the 17th century to the present. It is not my goal for you to memorize excessive amounts of chronological dates and facts in an age when information is at your fingertips. Instead, I hope to help you develop the skills and knowledge base to be able to analyze turning points in history, relate them to the issues of today, and use your conclusions to make informed opinions about our country and world. This year you will think critically, discuss rationally, and hone the skills required of an intelligent human being. |
